Enter Shikari have just posted the following statement on their facebook wall, please read and support this if you want to see real music take the top spot in the albums chart this weekend: “Dear everyone, but especially everyone in the UK…. Thanks to YOU GUYS, A Flash Flood Of Colour is at #1 in the midweeks of the proper UK album charts! that’s like proper #1 and everything. like, when people say “oh yeh, that album went to #1”… that’s what this one’s done.pretty fucking amazing. thank you VERY MUCH to everyone that’s bought it so far. You guys are awesome. There’s plenty that can be said on the subject… about how this is a bit of a triumph for doing stuff your own way and not just buying chart positions like major labels do… all that stuff… BUT, all that sort of fades into the background and instead all you can really do is go “well well. would you look at that. #1 eh? wow” :) Of course… it probably won’t stay there by the end of the week… Bruno Mars or Adele will no doubt overtake us as the week goes on and their TV ads kick in and all that… but, for now.if you HAVEN’T bought it yet, then this week is really the time to do it. lets see what we can all achieve with a little determination and some frantic Amazon/iTunes clickage ;)” If you have not got a copy, then pick it up today!! SPREAD THE WORD PEOPLE!!
